It may be a municipal golf course, but La Canada is fortunate enough to have been designed by two of the game's great architects. The two loops that make up the championship course were designed respectively by Robert Trent Jones and Dave Thomas.

Picture challenging holes designed to test your skills while you soak in the Andalusian sun. La Canada offers golfers a unique blend of sporting challenge and breathtaking beauty making it a must-play on your Malaga golf holiday. Prepare to be captivated by the stunning scenery the expertly manicured greens and the sheer joy of playing a truly exceptional course.

La Canada Golf Club

The two distinct nines offer a considerable challenge, but La Caňada is not so difficult that the spectacular views of the Mediterranean coast will be spoiled. Undulating fairways and fast, sloping greens are characteristic of the course which is bordered by banks of amazing indigenous trees.

Being designed for the passionate local golfers, La Caňada is a genuine test of golf with a no-frills attitude, but the pure test of golf attracts visitors back again and again.

MUCH EASIER COURES 17TH HOLE CLOSED!

There were no locker rooms, no buggy bar and no half way house. We were paired up with a 4th player. The condition of the course was poor with very slow play particlarly at the end where there are two very difficult holes across thick vegetation and a ravine. Not recommended.

This is a very basic public course and it showed. Buggy’s were in poor condition the course looked tatty and it was packed with players. Very much felt like we had turned up at a local member’s club and just got fit in between for some green fees. I wouldn’t say don’t play it I would say it’s the course you play after a heavy night before as you won’t be to concerned if you missed it.

A nice course, good range but a dated clubhouse

Few greens and tee areas need attention, people need to repair divots and rake bunkers

The actual golf course was in fantastic condition not a blade of grass out of place, just the facilities was very old and dated the club house from exterior was not too bad but they definitely need to modernise it, its a shame because it was a lovely course, the toilets/changing rooms have not been changed since they built it in 1982.
