Bay Hill Club
6th-9th March 2025
Now played in the memory of one of golf’s favourite players, the tournament consistently features the games greatest names all of whom are looking to showcase their skills in Arnold Palmer's honour.
The importance of having his favourite golf club boast one of the strongest fields on the tour was made apparent when in 2012 he joked: "If (McIlroy) doesn’t come and play Bay Hill, he might have a broken arm and he won’t have to worry about where he’s going to play next."
Once hosted by one of the game's most revered players and now played in his memory, the Arnold Palmer Invitational is one of the most anticipated events on tour each year. Played right at the start of March, the tournament frequently boasts a star studded lineup and is always fiercely competitive as players look to prepare themselves for the years first major just a month down the line.
The tournament has always featured the game’s biggest names with players such as Lee Trevino, Ernie Els and Arnold Palmer himself winning the tournament prior to the turn of the Millennium. However, since the year 2000 Tiger Woods has dominated this tournament with a record 8 wins to his name and in 2003 Tiger set the record for the largest winning margin when he blew apart the field and won by 11 strokes.
