Golf Son Gual

German designer Thomas Himmel is the man responsible for the majestic par-72 layout at Son Gual, which is already renowned for its impeccable conditioning. Son Gual is one of a collection of new championship courses that is a must play for serious golfers; although it is more expensive than most others in Mallorca, the challenge and overall experience of Son Gual is well worth it.

To underline the quality of the layout, Son Gual is among the newest additions to the Your Golf Travel.com Top 100 European Courses - in fact, it has jumped straight into our top 20! Be sure to test it out for yourself on your next golf holiday in Mallorca.

Son Gual is ranked as one of the best courses in Spain

Lovely course but we had lots of rain - would like to play again on a sunny day to judge. Not as scenic as son Muntaner and clubhouse not as good. V nice staff though.

We got off to a bad start when the Marshall told us to hurry up after 3 holes. This was nonsense because we were being held up by a fourball in front. We are not slow players and we were a three ball. The rest of our party, a four ball behind us, were told they were 12 minutes too slow after 2 holes! It turns out the fourballs behind us finished half an hour after we did! We found the course was ok but a bit " up and down" with less character than the other courses. It looked magnificent from the bar balcony with sweeping views over the plain.
