Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club

Set in wooded, rolling terrain, this 27-hole course of three nines (Ocean, Lake and Mountain) has magnificent views of mountains and the sea.

Phoenix Golf Course

Phoenix Golf & Country Club is a wonderful course that comprises three sets of nine holes, all of which are worth playing. Each of the nines is set in wooded surroundings on gently rolling hills and from most of the holes you can enjoy  stunning views of the distant mountains. Bamboo and eucalyptus trees line the fairways, which have been designed to be narrow, so that shade is readily available throughout most of your round. Similarly, the large greens are fringed with trees, creating shade and protecting the golfer from blinding sunlight.

The signature hole is the famous 17th, a very tough par-4 that dog-legs around the lake and has left some of Asia's most experienced golfers in trouble. Extensive use of water demands cautious play on many fairways, but the greens are spacious and inviting to shoot at.

The massive clubhouse dominates the landscape and it has a cavernous marble atrium with internal pools and, believe it or not, waterfalls. Its facilities, which include a sports complex, are considered to be some of the best in Pattaya and its easy access from the town makes this club one of the most popular with golfers in Thailand. The 18th hole is a great hole to finish your round with. The tee box for this downhill par 5 sits at the highest point on the course, providing a commanding view of Jomtien Beach and Pattaya city.

The clubhouse has a large reception and pro shop and luxurious locker rooms. The restaurant is also excellent, well priced, and serves both Thai and European food.
