The added bonus is access to the excellent Lingfield Park Golf Course, located onsite and recently improved to offer a splendid 6,487 yard test. Located within the grounds of the racecourse, the golf at Lingfield Park is the perfect complement.
As the host of numerous local PGA events, including The Surrey Open, Lingfield Park is a superb test of golf from the back tees, rewarding those who are able to drive accurately and take advantage of it's design to open up greens and second shots. With many testing tee-shots on display, most notably on the front 9 with it's tree-lined holes, those with a keen ability off the tee will be score well here. The course enjoys great views and numerous elevations so what the course lacks in length is more than made up by the natural landscape.

Lovely hotel, staff and food was excellent
10 / 10
Clean and tidy rooms, great food and friendly staff. Suited our requirements very well

Yes everything was good with the Hotel. The burger on the main course was over cooked and potentially Breakfast food could have been slightly hotter however appreciate that can be hard when offering buffet arrangement. The other issue but not major was no Skysports so we could not watch the Ryder Cup. Maybe Hotel description should include whether on not it has satélite TV?
8 / 10
Very good venue although more could probably be done regarding selection and opening of bars. All round staff were excellent
8 / 10
Room comfort excellent, food good and staff very friendly
8 / 10
What you’d expect from a Marriott. Clean, fresh and comfortable. Restaurant food was good and service very friendly (if a little slow). The bar area was quite small though so we struggled to get a table in the evening. Bar was also expensive (£30 for 4 pints of beer).

Had a lovely staff are fantastic :)
10 / 10
Overall was a fantastic stay, for us the only downside was on the first day they only had 1 bar open all day which resulted in a long wait for drinks. Other then that was decent
10 / 10
Very well looked after pleasant staff
8 / 10
When we arrived there was no record of our booking and there was also no record of our dinner times. After a lot of hassle we were allocated rooms and managed to have dinner. The hotel staff told me that your golf travel had not reserved anything in our name

Lovely hotel with good sized comfortable rooms. Good quality food and lovely views. Would definitely return.

The location was great.
The staff were very helpful.
The bar was nice although the draught beer was very limited.
The food in the restaurant was very good apart from the prawn cocktail starter which was completely tasteless.
Everything went well and without any hassle.
I would definitely do it again.
The agent Sam was spot on 👍🏻

Staff at the bar s l o w but other than that cannot complain

Our group of 6 stayed for 2 nights in October. The staff were fantastic- so kind and helpful. I had my 70th celebrations on the second night and all the staff came out to sing Happy Birthday with balloons and a large slice of cake with candles (not 70 of them though thank goodness!) The food is excellent. Rooms spotless and super comfy beds. This was our second visit and we enjoy it so much we will return again. Many thanks to all.

Very good hotel but very expensive drinks at the bar £6.40 for a pint of beer!
8 / 10
Room was pleasant with an excellent view of the 18th green and the racecourse. Staff were excellent and very helpful, especially the young man in the pro shop.

Lovely location.
Bar drinks a little on the expensive side.

Only issue air con not very cold on room

We stayed one night via a Sunday Special golf break and everything was good re the hotel especially the three course dinner. The menu was extensive, food good and helpings more than ample. The staff were also excellent and very attentive.

Excellent mini-break - just what was expected - staff excellent, food wholesome and the room was first class

Excellent venue, friendly staff. overall very good value for money
8 / 10
Very comfortable rooms, bar and dining area. The hotel is obviously suffering from lack of staff like everyone else but those who were there could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The breakfast was excellent but the dinner was not up to scratch eg a dressing on the Tomato and Mozzarella salad would
Have made all the difference. Service in the restaurant and bar was extremely slow. We all had problems with our room keys not working several times in 24 hours.

A solid 4* hotel with very comfortable rooms and good facilities. Nothing not to like.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful.
Dinner was nicely cooked and the breakfast buffet excellent.

The staff at the hotel were first-class, making us feel very welcome. The only disappointing thing was the very small bar area, with little comfortable seating. Rooms were spacious, clean & tidy. The mark for the restaurant/bar quality is only low due to above.
8 / 10
Room fantastic, service very good, breakfast excellent, food was ok, main course a little disappointing and bar expensive.
10 / 10
It was an excellent venue for our first golf break. Excellent facilities, spacious and comfortable rooms, brilliant staff and great food options. Highly recommended
10 / 10
Good hotel, decent rooms at a fair price.
10 / 10
Cosy room. Though not the top class, the food is delicious. We definitely enjoy the stay.
10 / 10
Very comfortable hotel, all staff are friendly and helpful. Very impressed.
8 / 10
As expected with Marriott so everything was in place. We combined with a day at the races so it was busy in a good way Room over the race track was clean and comfortable. Would return again. The little barman ( sorry forgot his name) was exceptional!!
8 / 10
On the whole staff friendly and helpful, not much bar space n too cold to sit outside but in summer it would be lovely sitting by racecourse track.
10 / 10
Have stayed three times this year mainly for golf but hotel important too. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant and really enjoy the food
10 / 10
The hotel rooms were lovely overlooking the race course - we got an upgrade. There was a race meeting on and the bar staff were scarce in the day- the reception staff were excellent. Evening the staff were excellent and the 3 course meal was adequate though not superb.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, food not great but ok.

Our room was very spacious, nice bathroom with plenty of toiletries. Two double beds very comfortable. Coffee and tea tray well stocked but no fridge/minibar. Perhaps removed due to covid? The room overlooked the area where they hold events, so straight onto the temporary tiolets and was also right over the outside bar area which might have been a problem if it had been a niec day! The accoustics in the bar and dining room made it extremely noisy and unenjoyable to eat there. For that reason we would not go back there. Maybe ok for groups but not couples.
10 / 10
Lovely place can not recommend enough
8 / 10
Hotel clean and comfortable, staff were cheerful and courteous.
8 / 10
Comfortable rooms. Staff cold not be friendlier. Food was lovely, but after a round of golf, I was expecting a bigger meal. Lovely Sea Bream, but one baby leek and three tiny bits of cauliflower does not make a meal. I was still hungry after the main course, although friends wo had the lamb were stuffed. No real ales when we visited, except in bottles. The acoustics are difficult in the public areas because of all the the hard surfaces.
10 / 10
Great rooms and lovely food
10 / 10
The bed was very comfortable. The food was amazing
8 / 10
2 of us stayed in a double room overlooking the race course, great view, beds too soft for my liking, but nonetheless a good standard room. We didn't have dinner in the hotel but the breakfast and bar food was excellent and the hospitality staff were very good.
10 / 10
Lovely room with great view and facilities. Comfy bed. Pleasant helpful staff. Great to watch a horse race as well
10 / 10
Really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott. We had rooms that looked over the race course which was brilliant and they were very comfortable. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The inclusive dinner was very good quality and we could choose anything on the extensive menu apart from the cheese board (£5 supplement). The breakfast offering was either full English or veggie version as obviously there wasn't a buffet option. The only gripe would be that the coffee wasn't the greatest.
8 / 10
No problems here
10 / 10
Great rooms and service. All organised well in bar areas and restaurant bearing in mind current Covid restrictions
6 / 10
Shame the pool tables had been taken out!
8 / 10
great hotel, Having a pool table in the bars would be good for groups after golf.
10 / 10
Great accomodation, the food was lovely, the service was great,my only gripe would be the price of the drinks at the bar.
8 / 10
Rooms were excellent and the food good.
8 / 10
The hotel and the rooms were lovely. Very noce and clean. The price of a beer was a tad expensive though. But overall a very good place to go.
8 / 10
Great big rooms, good spa, nice golf course, perfect for a weekend of golf, spa and the races right next door. However the restaurant is not good enough and is unable to cater for multiple people or tables. Very ordinary menu and food arriving cold, or not at all. Such a pity as the restaurant lets down the whole hotel.
8 / 10
The hotel was excellent for our trip. Rooms were a good size, clean, fresh and well furnished. The staff were all very friendly, and the race course just outside the window was an added bonus.
10 / 10
Despite heavy rain the course was in good condition, the greens were true, and the whole break was first class. We have been here several times before and it has always been excellent...
10 / 10
Great hotel, very comfortable room and quality meal.
10 / 10
excellent value in a convenient setting.
10 / 10
Great hotel, staff really helpful. Spa facilities are nice an clean. Restaurant and food is good.
We had a room overlooking the race course which would be great on a race day.
Overall a very nice hotel and would visit again.
The bar could do with a big screen for sport.
8 / 10
Everything was great except for the beds in our room, they were both completely broken and should be thrown away. Our backs hurt after the first night, we complained and they brought some extra mattress on top of one of the beds that didn´t really fix the problem as it was really just like a duvet, way too soft to do anything for a broken mattress. The staff admitted that there were some rooms with broken beds. Otherwise the stay was really great and we would love to come back as long as we would be sure that the bed problem would be fixed.
8 / 10
Although the hotel was as you would expect a Marriott Hotel to be it was let down by the price of drinks, the food was also overpriced not what you expect to pay for a golf visit.
8 / 10
Great hotel with friendly staff, from front of house all the way through to the restaurant. Food in the restaurant for dinner was reasonable, and the service was very good. Breakfast spread very good, with lots of choice hot and cold, and great to be able to get fresh eggs to order. Rooms, very spacious and two lovely big queen beds per room - great walk in shower and very nice toiletries.

Excellent, very enjoyable
10 / 10
Nice Hotel situated perfectly for the golf course and Race track, Light and airy interior and very good pool and spa facilities, Staff were all very helpful and attentive and food was good, the evening meal set menu could be a bit more adventurous and varied with maybe an option to upgrade to a la carte. Due to its location on flight path for Gatwick all bedroom windows were sealed and although no noise whatsoever from Planes it would be nice to be able to have the option of getting some freah air into the room but overall very clean well appointed and very comfortable

We arrived at Lingfield Park a couple of hours before our
tee-time, with first impressions being very positive, seeing the hotel situated
right beside Lingfield Park racecourse. We made contact with the friendly staff
in the pro shop who directed us to the nearby spike bar, where we enjoyed a
reasonably priced light lunch & coffee.
At our allotted tee-time, we made our way to the first tee.
The ground did seem a little wet from the recent heavy rain, but we were all
keen to get started on a reasonably straight forward par three.
As mentioned earlier, the course was indeed quite wet, with
the fairways being a little 'fluffy' which was certainly due to the amount of
rain that had fallen & the staff not being able to cut them. The greens
however were the best we had seen in a long time and although a little slow
they were very 'true,' & in excellent condition overall.
On our return to the hotel, we checked in & were told
that we had full access to the pool, sauna & fitness areas which was a
great bonus. The rooms were excellent, looking out over the racecourse, with
comfortable beds, fluffy towels & tea & coffee making facilities.
Following pre-dinner drinks at the bar (not the cheapest
unfortunately!) we took our places in the restaurant where we were informed by
the waiting staff that we could choose from the a la carte menu, with just a
couple of the choices attracting a small supplement.
The standard of food was excellent, with everyone happy with
their respective choices, particularly the belly-pork in my case!
Following dinner, it was back to the bar where, as mentioned
earlier, the bar prices were slightly on the high side. We were all in a good
mood following the golf & good food though, so we didn't let this spoil the
evening.
The next morning we played our second round, and again found
the course to be on the wet side, due to more overnight rain. The greens
appeared to have had a light cut, and were again in excellent condition.
Although the course was not particularly long, just under
6,000 yards off the yellow tees, quite a few of the fairways could be described
as 'tight', so accuracy is important off the tee. Following on behind our group
was a European PGA junior event that allowed us to see how good we could have
been at an early age had we bothered to practice just a little bit more!
At the end of the round we again retired to the spike bar
where we had lunch and the presentation of the prizes. All were in agreement
that we had had an excellent stay at a first class hotel, with great food,
friendly & attentive staff and a couple of great rounds of golf thrown in
for good measure.
This was the second time we have used Your Golf Travel and
we would most definitely use you guys again...we will just have to wait for the
weather to warm up first!
Thanks again for your help in arranging our golf trip.
