Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Club

A recent development has added a further nine holes, and the championship course is now an intimidating prospect, with a standard scratch of 74. Designed by Theodore Moon we have an extensive history and have been offering golfers a magnificent links golf challenge since 1887.

Over the past thirty years Barassie has added to its championship links. With a new par 3 12th hole, and re-design of the 6th on the links we are sure golfers will enjoy a testing Scottish links which overlooks the isle of Arran.

Testament to the quality of the golf course is that it has hosted many Amateur Championships such as The Boys Championship and the Amateur Qualifying in 2001, and is a regular on the Open qualifier circuit. While the welcome is warm, the facilities are also excellent, including a well-stocked professional's shop and fantastic catering..

Really enjoyable day had by all Staff very friendly and course in very good condition

Friendly staff, comfortable clubhouse. The course was played off winter mats and this shortened the course considerably so although we enjoyed the day, we didn’t really play the proper course. The greens were very slow for a links course.
