Found in the rolling countryside of central England, just south of the Peak District National Park, Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club's recently refurbished hotel is the perfect spot for a country escape. Golfers are able to enjoy two distinct championship golf courses, the Priory and the Moorland. The Priory steals the show as one of the East Midland’s top tracks, but the Moorland, designed by Donald Steel, is more than worthy of being played.
Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club is located in Derbyshire, on the outskirts of Derby itself, this great central location makes it easy to get to for golfers across the UK. The hotel at Breadsall Priory Marriott Hotel & Country Club is a piece of local history, a magnificent Grade II listed building that dates back to the 11th Century. However, nothing inside is out of date, with excellently appointed rooms and modern facilities, including a spa and restaurant.

The Championship Priory course is the premier layout at the resort, and since its inception in 1977, has emerged as one of the best in the local area. The Priory skirts the stunning hotel, and requires accurate play to negotiate the tree-lined fairways. Though not particularly long, the Priory is demanding, and attracts visitors back again and again with its charm and spectacular views.

Breadsall Priory's second course is the Moorland, which differs in style to the Priory, offering golfers a great variety. Set amidst the lush Derbyshire countryside, the Moorland is more open, but is also fortunate to offer views to equal its neighbour.
Breadsall Priory is one of the few resorts in the East Midlands to have two 18-hole courses, making it a great choice for a golf break.

The Priory's signature 12th provides the golfer with spectacular views from an elevated tee. The fairway has a slight dogleg right, and with the pin often placed at the right side of the small green, it is important to hit to the left side so that the tree doesn't block your view on the approach!

The magnificent stately residence that is now home to Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club dates back to 1260, and the historic setting is one of the most spectacular destinations for a golf break in the Midlands.
The façade of the Grade II listed construction is in stark contrast to the contemporary facilities that await inside. The 112 guest rooms are designed and furnished to complement the traditional style of the house, but also feature all the modern amenities that are expected from a top quality hotel.
Start your day with a taste of British culture at the Priory Restaurant, which serves breakfast in a traditional setting. In the evening, you can opt for a more laid-back dining experience at The Cast Iron Bar and Grill, located in a historic wine cellar, where you can enjoy the best of British cuisine.
The Spa Experience at Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club offers treatments including body wraps and scrubs, facials, manicures, pedicures, massages and waxing. Meanwhile, the leisure club and fitness centre has a range of cardiovascular training equipment and free weights, in addition to a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and spa pool.
Breadsall Priory is located north of Derby, 20 minutes from J25 of the M1. Derby train station is approximately 15 minutes away.

Staff couldn’t do more. It was my first stay away completely solo and the staff where extremely friendly and made me feel less awkward than I felt.

Rooms were in very good order, comfortable and well furnished. The included evening meal was from a table d'hote selection, was well presented and generally tasty. It was rather strange that there was no table drinks service. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a lot of time to enjoy the hotel but the food was good and the rooms very good. We played golf far too late on day one and it was all too much of a rush

The hotel was very good, rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Food was good quality, very good breakfast. THe evening meal was a set menu, with a choice of 4 starters, mains & puddings. My only gripe is that the prices we were charged in the resort were more than advertised on the website and, like most hotels, drinks are expensive. Also the £100 credit resort was a little tricky to allocate between 12 people - we ended up buying prizes from the pro shop with it. Overall a really good trip - the golf courses are excellent!

The rooms were clean and tidy but several of our rooms had leaking shower doors so we had to use towels to soak up the water! The bars do not sell alcohol until 11am! The food was good, staff were friendly. golf courses in very good condition (an open halfway house would have been nice and a good little earner i'd say!

Enjoyed this course more than the Priory as it is less hilly and easier to walk. It is more suited to the average club golfer with a few shorter holes. course was in good condition and our group scored better on here than the Priory. Very enjoyable as it was also less busy.

Conditions were good but course was very busy. It is a very picturesque setting but very hilly and I would recommend a buggy. Quite a difficult course to play if you are not used to hills and the greens were tricky. Play was slow which meant we had to miss out the last two holes. A pleasure to play though.

Our tee time was 2.30 we didn’t finish the round only playing 14 holes and had to walk in in the dark. We followed 3 + groups of inexperienced young golfers in buggies who held us up everywhere- very disappointing
