Bawburgh Golf Club

Not so much a hotel, but there are a handful of lodges on the course - with Breakfast being served in the Bar. The Lodges show a 5* plaque...and they are worth every one of those 5 stars. Obviously fairly new builds, but very spacious, clean and well thought out. Location wise perfect as well being just a few minutes walk from the club. All the staff were incredibly helpful - even bringing our room keys to us to save the question of "how do we check in". There was a slight issue with the drink pumps (the only reason for the 4 star mark) but that was dealt with promptly with great humour. DEFINITELY going to be coming back - probably with a group big enough to occupy all the lodges (5 I think)

Lovely set-up from car park to bar to course! All aspects of course were good with exception of long walk from 4th green to 5th Tee which looks like may have had a course redesign. The only thing that spoilt the day was the torrential downpour we had from holes 6 to 15.

Really interesting course with a good variety of straight holes, dog-legs, raised tees, blind shots etc. A lot of tree-lined challenges, but the areas in the tress very well maintained so pretty much always find the ball (not ALWAYS of course). Fairways showed a little impact of the lack of rain recently but thats to be expected. Greens in very good condition for us (all mid-to-high Hdcp)....especially some with decent contours and banks to negotiate. Played twice and will definitely be back

We played Bawburgh on a day where overnight rain had already made the course quite wet and rain during bthe round did nothing to improve conditions. The course is challenging without being too hard and the greens are in great condition. The fairways were suffering due to the wet conditions and the back 9 especially felt like a real slog in the rain. All our party liked the course and all were keen to revisit the club on a (hopefully) warmer and drier day.
